Automated Solutions Corporation is a systems integration group located in Northeast Ohio servicing primarily the Midwest and Eastern regions of the United States. Our core belief in thoroughly educating and training our customers has gained us a presence throughout North America. Founded in May of 1991, our SIC code is 7373. We are an Ohio sub-S corporation that is privately held. Our offices have been located in Richfield, Ohio since February 1992. At start-up, our staff was composed of four partners that were already working in the data collection and barcode industry. Collectively, the three remaining principals alone possess over seventy years experience in the design and implementation of small and mid-range computer systems. Unique customer applications have been deployed throughout Mexico, four provinces in Canada and Belgium. All of these systems are proof that a properly assembled team truly has no boundaries. Our experience spans 26 states, 4 countries and over 160 installed sites. ASC designs, installs and supports computer-based systems for manufacturing, warehousing and route accounting applications. These applications have been delivered on (or integrated with) PC's, mini, and mainframe computers from most of the major vendors. Our experience with handheld and mobile wireless computers is second to none. Eighty percent of our customer base have deployed some type of ASC custom software, either on a hand-held computer or a server. The remaining twenty percent of deployments are some type of "terminal emulation", such as 5250 (AS/400) or 3278 (IBM mainframe).
As integrators, our mission is to provide our clients with only the specific services and products they require. These requirements may encompass a complete system (analysis, design, software, hardware, training and support) or any one of the individual services previously listed. ASC has a proven track record of working with either an in-house systems (IT/IS) staff OR a third party (if desired) to provide the best value to the customer. All of ASC's systems are based on an agreed upon design specifications that detail deliverables, testing methodologies and GUARANTEED implementation schedules. If ASC is at fault and misses a target date, you receive pro-rated refund on our services. Support for most of our clients is provided on-line, through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. These methods are proven, convenient and cost effective. ASC's servers provide FTP access for file transfers to and from our clients.
ASC's major focus is on the mobile systems computing market. We author applications for use on Windows CE-based and ".NET" portable computers. (We do not support PALM based hand helds.) The return on investment (ROI) on these systems is typically less than one year and often times measured in MONTHS. We'll assist you with the development and preparation of your specific ROI document if requested. Examples of these applications are wireless warehouses, field service and route accounting deployments. We know what type of radio service you'll need for point-to-point bridges and wide-area GPRS, CDPD, GSM, CDMA, EDGE and UMTS mobile applications. We have the references and track record. Most of our handheld software is created on standardized development platforms, we do not utilize anything "proprietary" to "lock you in". Notable among these tools are Microsoft's VISUAL STUDIO®, and ORACLE's Forms & Reports™ & JDeveloper™. In most cases, ASC will provide source code to the customer upon completion of the project.
